I had been told by far bkll many friends to count that I should read this book. Hybels founded the church after surveying the community and designing Sunday morning services for non-believers, with services for believers held on another day.

The difference between great communication and not-so-great communication often comes down to where you place the bad news. It’s a boo I love the structure of the book. I also like this genre because it allows one to read in bites. I’ve borrowed many of these lines and use them on a weekly basis.
Having read it once, I really need to go back through it, pencil in hand. I would guess, though, that some which I felt were common sense were gold for others and vice ver I had been told by far too many friends to count that I should read this book. This is a book worth many times its retail price; the many many gems gleamed from years of experience and the related tears and pain are now available through an extremely engaging presentation.

I’m sure a pastor or some other person actually in leadership at the church might have a completely different view. Since my first encounter with Hybels aroundI’ve been a student and fan.
Each proverb basically stands on its own, so there isn’t a connecting theme throughout the book. He gives his philosophies about proper communication, how to run meetings, etc.
I highly recommend this book. I would recommend it for anyone in leadership.
Honestly, I’m a Hybels fan To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. That’s one thing I wish I did more as a young leader, was read more, particularly books like this! The focus is certainly on church leadership, but there is a lot of good advice in here for anyone.
If you can’t answer “Yes” to all three things, then don’t do it.
Book Review: Axiom By Bill Hybels
Enjoyed each proverbs and the revelation that came. I’ve been an eager student of Bill Hybels leadership tenets for over a decade when I first attended Global Leadership Summit, as a volunteer at a Northern California satellite location which just happened to be at the church I attended.
This review is not the place to discuss the pros and cons of WillowCreek-style churches, but my guess is that most pastors will feel like Hybels relates better to a Fortune company than to a local church of average size. Also, Hybels really demonstrates his commitment to a model of church heavily infuenced by business models.
