I liked the concept of this book. Trautmann needed it written, however, in seven weeks, and he knew I had a chance to hit that deadline from us having worked together on Crimson Skies fiction. I don’t know if Mortal Coils is classified as young adult it’s hardly got any swearing, no sex scenes that I remember, no gory violencebut that doesn’t really matter.
The ending was relatively satisfying, but also left me with a lot of questions. From the “dark” side, we have characters like the seductress Seeliah, the deadly beauty with a secret soft side, a fighter and a queen in her own rights. I like how youngsters outwit adults.
