The illustrations in this edition of Frankenstein are so detailed, gorgeous, and emotionally rendered; wrightsno come at just the right parts of the story to expand the writing in dramatic ways, and are a pleasure to behold again and again.

Shelley’s prose remains as classic and nerve-wracking as ever as she regales us with the tale of an ambitious young man whose attempts at playing god go awry, afar, and astray, leaving him to pick up the pieces and rage as one does when one loses everything.
